Job description
Speech, Language & Communication Intervention Specialist – Blackpool

We are looking for a Speech, Language & Communication Intervention Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. You will be working with children with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and trauma. We have several vacancies throughout Blackpool, and new opportunities arising in coming months. These contracts are a temp-perm basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to children on a one-to-one and small group basis to help them overcome barriers to learning.
  • Lead targeted sessions to develop speech and language skills.
  • Monitor and record student progress, adapting therapeutic approaches to suit individual needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to design and implement strategies that embed speech and language goals within classroom activities and home routines.
  • Use strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Completed Safeguarding Training (we can assist you with this process).
  • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of the children you support.
  • Recognised Speech, Language or Communication qualification.
  • An enhanced DBS check (we can assist you with this process if you do not already have one).
