Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves in Bexley is seeking a Speech and Language Assistant to support children with SEMH needs and assist with communication.

You will have a degree in Speech and Language, Linguistics or Modern Languages from a UK university, gain experience in a school, and work with qualified SEN professionals including SALT Therapists. Salary £34,000 to £35,000 per annum pro-rata to term-time only.

• Requires degree in Speech and Language, Linguistics or Modern Languages from a UK University.
• Previous experience and a passion for working with children.
• Aims to become a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Excellent communication skills, patience and language understanding.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEMH needs and help with communication in a school setting.
• Gain experience in a local authority school with SEN provision.
• Work alongside qualified SEN professionals including SALT Therapists.
• Contribute to a supportive learning environment for non-verbal children.
