Speech, Language and Communication Specialist – Primary Schools (Prescot)

Location: Prescot
Contract: Full-time, Term‑time

£13.75 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

We are seeking a Speech, Language and Communication Specialist to work across welcoming primary schools in Prescot starting this December. This role focuses on supporting non‑verbal children, primarily within EYFS and KS1, helping them develop essential communication skills and thrive in their learning environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Specialist Support: Work one‑to‑one and in small groups with non‑verbal children, implementing tailored strategies to encourage communication.
  • Collaborating with Staff: Partner with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to deliver effective interventions.
  • Empowering Pupils: Use creative and engaging methods to help children express themselves and build confidence.
  • Making a Real Impact: Support children at a critical stage in their development, giving them the tools to succeed.
