An outstanding new independent specialist school for children aged 5-11 with Autism is looking to appoint a dedicated SaLT Assistant to join their founding therapy team this January. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in supporting the development of a school with big ambitions.

About the School

This specialist school has been purpose-built to meet the needs of children with Autism and related communication difficulties. The setting features modern sensory and therapeutic spaces and sits in a spacious, green location within easy reach of the Elizabeth Line.

The school has already earned an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating at its first inspection (July 2025) and is on an exciting journey of expansion, with a long-term goal of becoming a multi-site provision supporting up to 200 pupils.

You'll be joining a small but growing multidisciplinary therapy team, working closely with an in-house Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist.

What We're Looking For
  • Practical experience supporting children with Autism, ideally within a specialist school or clinical environment
  • Familiarity with implementing therapy programmes designed by qualified Speech and Language Therapists
  • Experience using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems such as PECS, communication devices, or sign language (desirable)
  • A genuine passion for supporting neurodivergent learners and promoting communication-centred practice
Why This Role?
  • Be part of a founding team shaping a new, ambitious SEN school from the ground up
  • Join a values-driven, research-informed, and compassionate working environment
