Role and Location

Job Title: Speech and Language Therapy Assistant

Location: Regional Role, Surrey

Salary: Up to £26,000 FTE, dependent on experience – multiple positions available due to growth

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Flexible working across 6 days (Monday to Friday)

Contract: Permanent – Summer contract (50 weeks, 5 weeks off in summer break, plus 22 days holiday)

About the role

As a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant at the London Children’s Practice (LCP), you will be responsible for providing interventions under the guidance of a registered Speech and Language Therapist. You will also provide feedback on client progress, attend meetings, and advocate for clients and their families alongside the treating therapist. Your role will involve supporting the indirect actions of speech and language therapy, such as creating programmes and assisting with scheduling. LCP offers a supportive environment with numerous CPD opportunities and wellbeing support from our team and supervisor during the working week.

Location: Primarily school-based with work within a clinic setting.

Essential Criteria
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area
  • GCSEs or equivalent
  • Experience of working with children
  • Effective communication professional skills
Desirable
  • Previous experience of working within health care
  • Previous experience working with children with additional needs
  • People management experience
