Overview

Speech and Language Therapist – Children’s We are seeking a talented Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Lancaster on a fixed-term, full-time contract, earning £36,507 to £44,103 annually. Working with children and young people, this is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a supportive and dynamic environment. As part of a vibrant community in Lancaster, you will work in collaboration with our Multidisciplinary Clinical Services Team including Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and Creative/Talking Therapists. Your role will involve providing high-quality assessment and intervention, as well as contributing to the development of therapeutic plans that meet EHCP requirements. This position places you at the heart of an educational setting, where your expertise will help shape trauma-informed practices and foster therapeutic relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and deliver interventions to address speech and language needs.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create and implement therapeutic plans.
  • Work closely with educational and residential staff within a trauma-informed practice framework.
  • Engage creatively with children to develop supportive and meaningful relationships.
  • Train and guide team members, external agencies, and parents/carers to provide holistic support for each child.
  • Foster and maintain essential connections with parents, CAMHS, and Social Care to support comprehensive care.
Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Recent UK or NHS post-qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist.
