Are you a passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact in specialist SEMH settings? We are seeking a dynamic clinician to join our multidisciplinary team, supporting children and young people with complex social, emotional and communication needs.

Main duties of the job

• Conducting specialist assessments and contributing to universal screening processes
• Completing evidenced based interventions at a specialist, or targeted level with appropriate delegation
• Supporting staff through training, coaching and collaborative planning
• Contributing to service development and innovation, including outcome measurement and impact evaluation
• Working flexibly across education and care environments to meet the diverse needs of our children and young people
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including care staff, education staff and the wider clinical team, to ensure holistic support for children and to ensure all relevant parties are kept informed on the child’s progress whilst operating within confidentiality guidance
• Engage in regular clinical and managerial supervision, maintaining an accurate portfolio of learning and reflective practice relevant to the role
• Continuously engage in your own continuous professional development and undertake relevant training programmes
• Maintain departmental quality standards in working practices and be aware of clinical pathways and guidance
• Attend and participate in professional multidisciplinary meetings as required

• Experience of working with children with a variety of neurodevelopmental profiles, including Autism and ADHD
• Knowledge of trauma informed practice
• Knowledge of neuroaffirming practice
