We pride ourselves on being an employer of choice. This position offers a unique opportunity to join our Central Cornwall Team as a Speech and Language Therapist, following an internal promotion.

Overview

The role is split across our Newquay and St Austell teams: three days per week within Newquay and two days per week within St Austell, both part of the Central Locality Team. You will manage a mixed caseload of children aged 0‑18, providing assessment, intervention, consultation and training to families across the Central Cornwall area.

Responsibilities

• Hold a 0‑18 mixed community caseload and support children and their families through clinic appointments, setting visits and home visits.
• Deliver both assessment and intervention, including consultation and training.
• Support our clinical leads for language with quality‑improvement projects related to the language pathway.
• Develop specialist skills within language disorder to support other SaLT colleagues.
• Work with the wider team on service‐development projects.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with a range of clinical needs.
  • Knowledge of the education system and how it interacts with speech and language treatment.
  • Interest in and experience with language disorders.
  • Desire to develop specialist skills in language disorder.
  • Enthusiasm for service‑development projects with peers.
  • Some experience mentoring or supervising student SaLTs or support workers.
