Job description

Liverpool Enhanced Support Team (EST) and Youth Justice CAMHS are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our service. The role is part‑funded by Liverpool Youth Justice Service.

The Enhanced Support Team works with children and young people who have complex needs and present with high risk, high harm behaviours and high vulnerability. These individuals often have severe, persistent difficulties in multiple domains and are typically involved in multiple services. The Service is integrated with Social Care, Youth Justice and Community CAMHS.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality speech, language and communication assessments to inform the multidisciplinary assessment.
  • Work with other professionals to plan and deliver multidisciplinary assessments to support speech, language and communication needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary formulation meetings.
  • Support the consultation and triage of new referrals into the service.
  • Support service development of assessment processes and practice.
  • Provide advice and signposting to parents and other professionals at any stage of the assessment process.
  • Be available for advice, support and teaching of other therapists and external services.
