Job Summary

Join Evolve Psychology at our Exeter Clinic as a Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner and make a real difference in the lives of children, young people, and their families. This hybrid role allows a mix of clinic-based and remote work, with full‑time or part‑time applications considered (minimum three days per week). You’ll work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality autism and ADHD assessments via NHS‑funded referrals and private pathways.

Main Duties

Conduct structured observations, developmental history interviews, participate in diagnostic discussions, produce accurate clinical reports, provide compassionate feedback to families, deliver supervision where applicable, meet service KPIs, and travel to the clinic base for in‑person assessments. Digital workflows and in‑house systems streamline admin.

Pay and Benefits

Salary £30,000 to £55,000 depending on experience. Permanent contract, full‑time or part‑time. Responsibilities
  • Conduct face‑to‑face structured observations.
  • Conduct remote developmental history interviews via Zoom.
  • Participate in peer MDT diagnostic discussions.
  • Deliver clear, compassionate feedback to families.
  • Produce accurate clinical reports with diagnostic formulations.
  • Work efficiently to meet service KPIs.
  • Deliver clinical supervision where applicable.
  • Travel to clinic base for in‑person assessments (hybrid role).
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 1 year professional registration: HCPC, NMC, GMC or Social Work England.
  • Minimum 1 year experience conducting diagnostic assessments for autism/ADHD in children and young people.
  • Strong knowledge of DSM‑5 diagnostic criteria for autism and ADHD.
  • Knowledge of differential diagnosis of neurodevelopmental presentations.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools: ADOS‑2, ADI‑R, etc.
  • Effective time management, caseload organisation, multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • Highly developed written communication for clinical reports.
  • Compassionate, clear communication with families.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
