Position overview

The Cornwall Children's Community Speech and Language Therapy service has an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our Central Cornwall Team to cover maternity leave. The role will be two days within our Truro team and two days in our St Austell team, both forming part of our Central Locality Team.

Eligibility

This role is open only to people who already work for the NHS in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly. Current employees of the following organisations may apply:

  • Cornwall Foundation Trust
  • Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust
  • Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board
Responsibilities
  • Hold a 0‑18 year old mixed community caseload and offer support to children and their families through clinic appointments, setting visits and home visits in the Central Cornwall area.
  • Deliver assessment and intervention, consultation and training.
  • Provide support to children with a range of clinical needs through previous roles or student placements.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with a range of clinical needs either through previous roles or student placements.
  • Enjoys working as part of a supportive and friendly team.
  • Enthusiastic about working with children.
  • Suitable for a newly qualified therapist or those in the final stages of finishing their degree.
