Job Overview

Ready to take the next step in your Speech and Language Therapist career? Join our growing, passionate team across three diverse and dynamic schools, each offering a different specialist environment to broaden your skills and experience. We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist ready to grow and thrive in a collaborative, child‑centred environment. You will work with children and young people ages 4‑19 with a range of needs, collaborating closely with education and clinical colleagues to support engagement, independence, and meaningful outcomes. You will deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neuro‑divergent or have SEMH needs, following the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working. You will hold a Speech and Language therapy caseload with the full support of your designated clinical supervisor and site lead, and contribute to staff training and consultation as required.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC registered
  • Relevant experience engaging and working with individuals presenting with complex and diverse communication profiles
  • Knowledge of neurodiversity and trauma‑informed practice
  • Experience of multi‑disciplinary working in a range of settings
  • Experience communicating with families/relatives and carers
  • Interest in developing knowledge and skills in different areas of SaLT practice
  • Strong relationship building, analytical and judgement skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Competency in core areas of SaLT practice and clear understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards
  • Knowledge of SaLT assessment tools, types of intervention and formulation of support plans based on needs profile
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and its implications for clinical practice and professional management
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
  • Willingness to attend training and work towards further qualifications relevant to the client group
  • Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Desirable Qualifications
  • Understanding of sensory and motor differences that may impact an individual’s communication strengths, differences, traits, difficulties and needs profile
  • Evidence of understanding the relationship between arousal levels and communication
