Qualifications

  • Safeguarding training must be current, but can be provided if needed.
  • Experience supporting Special Educational Needs is preferred.

Speech and Language Graduate

Location: Stockport (SK8)

Pay: £475-£550 per week, depending on experience

Start date: 19/01/2026

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking recent speech and language graduates to join a large SEN school in the Cheadle area. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain experience within a school setting.

The school is located in the Cheadle Hulme area and supports pupils aged between 4-19, with complex needs.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, encouraging engagement and development
  • Communicating regularly with class teachers and SLT to monitor progress
  • Assisting in preparation of engaging learning resources
Qualifications and Experience
  • Recent degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training within the last year (desired, but training can beահ provided)
  • Previous experience supporting SEN, in placements
Eligibility Requirements
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
