Job summary

Computerworld Personnel Ltd is hiring a Specification Technologist in Hayes to join a team supplying the aviation catering, retail, wholesale and food service sectors. The role involves preparing and updating product specifications, managing customer and supplier documentation, and supporting audits.

Working Monday to Friday, 40 hours, 9am to 5.30pm, with a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 and benefits including time in lieu, 20 days holiday, parking and a product discount.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a technical role within food manufacturing.
• HACCP qualification.
• Auditing experience.
• Good understanding of food safety, food quality and food legislation.
• Good communication skills.
• Good IT skills.

Our client manufactures sweets, savories and ready meals for the aviation catering industry as well as retail, wholesale and food service sectors. Due to expansion, they are looking to recruit a Specification Technologist to join the team at this exciting time.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review and update product specifications
• Request, maintain and complete customer and supplier documentation
• Assist with audits
• Calculate ingredient declarations, allergen information and nutritional values
• Keep up to date with food legislation and industry best practise
