Specification Sales Manager – Architectural Aluminium

The Specification Sales Manager will lead field sales for our premium architectural aluminium systems across North London to Lincolnshire, driving specification wins for curtain walling, high‑performance windows and doors, architectural hardware, solar shading, natural ventilation, and rainscreen cladding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell our designed, extruded, and distributed range of curtain walling, high‑performance windows and doors, window walling, architectural hardware, solar shading, natural ventilation, and rainscreen cladding to architects, local authorities, housing associations, educational institutions, main contractors, and aluminium fabricators.
  • Influence architects to secure specifications for façade, window, and glazing applications for commercial projects, primarily education/school, healthcare, retail, office, and high‑end residential.
  • Manage relationships with 12–15 key aluminium fabricators, checking project availability and coordinating through the tendering process to metal order and project completion.
  • Achieve a specification revenue target of approximately £1.8 million, targeting projects with typical values of £75,000 up to £500,000.
  • Leverage an £12 million project bank to focus on new business development and convert existing projects.
  • Participate in at least two CPD sessions per month and aggressively chase leads from Glenigan, fabricators, and subcontractors.
Qualifications
  • Proven field sales track record within architectural specification sales, ideally in architectural aluminium systems.
  • Open to candidates with experience in façade, curtain walling, window/glazing system, or building envelope backgrounds.
  • Stable career history with no frequent job hopping.
  • Strong technical knowledge of aluminium and associated building products.
  • Team player capable of working autonomously.
  • Hungry, tenacious, and energetic with a can‑do attitude.
