Location & Travel

Primary location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Relocation offered: No. Employment status: Full‑time. Travel: 26%–50%. Non‑compete: Yes. National outside sales role; position location is flexible, ideally near Philadelphia, PA, northern New Jersey, New York City, the Northeast, or Chicago.

Compensation

Estimated base salary range: $90,000 to $115,000 per year. Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience and other factors. Salary may be adjusted based on geographic location.

Reporting Line & Role Overview

Reporting to the Director of Specialty Sales & Independent Agents, the Specialty Sales Manager manages our Independent Representative Groups network for CastWorks and ensures collaboration with manufacturing plants, estimating, marketing, and project management to foster long‑term customer relationships and satisfaction.

In conjunction with the corporate sales organization, the Specialty Sales Manager establishes market, regional, and target customer strategies for growth, new opportunities, and market share acquisitions for CastWorks products. The role is strategic and hands‑on, accountable for driving the annual CastWorks sales plans, including monthly and quarterly tracking to ensure targets are met. The incumbent educates, mentors, and guides the corporate sales organization on selling CastWorks products and supports the company’s total solutions selling strategy.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage the sales of CastWorks materials, products, and services across the US, including goal‑oriented sales processes with accountability.
  • Manage independent sales representatives to create specifications with the architecture and design community through to closure of sales.
  • Develop targeted account strategies with independent sales representatives and corporate sales staff to maximize account penetration.
  • Manage sales leads with effective tracking and responsiveness.
  • Utilize SalesForce as CRM and job tracking tool.
  • Leverage extensive product knowledge to train independent sales representatives and provide orientation training on the factory floor to new sales staff.
  • Promote product line through presentations, segment pieces, client engagement, new product responses, and sample management.
  • Consult architects, designers, and end‑users on design budgets and technical information to secure interest in CastWorks products.
  • Create and update visual client presentations on a quarterly basis.
  • Prospect existing leads and qualify them using web, database, and other resources.
  • Proactively identify target customers and determine strategy for contact.
  • Capture competitive data and product offerings to present to business leaders.
  • Prepare activity and forecast reports for review.
  • Prepare qualified technical projects to hand off to the estimating department.
  • Understand full product lines with emphasis on modified standard and custom products.
  • Track and secure project opportunities from specification through bid phase to closure.
  • Understand company selling advantages and positions versus competition.
  • Serve as subject‑matter expert on process, product, and pricing within the complex Architectural Specialties (AS) solutions offer, coordinating internal resources.
  • Train corporate sales team on product and collaborate with internal resources on solution selling and strategy.
  • Measure progress in becoming the easiest to do business with via voice‑of‑customer mechanisms.
  • Promote, track, and close specialty suspension systems, custom AS solutions.
Travel
