A healthcare organization in Scotland is seeking a Specialty Doctor to provide care for patients with addiction issues. This part-time (30 hours per week) position offers an opportunity to develop expertise in psychiatry and addiction medicine within a supportive team. Interested candidates must have full GMC registration and relevant postgraduate training. The position is based in Musselburgh and applications are accepted until December 3, 2025.

A doctor appointed to this grade:
shall have full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council (GMC);

Fixed term 0.8wte part time (8 Programmed Activities) specialty doctor post. The post is vacant and offers a fantastic opportunity to develop an interest in addiction medicine and psychiatry. Working with an enthusiastic team of clinicians in a vibrant, rapidly developing, and supportive service, this post offers the opportunity to develop clinical and professional competence in a purposeful and supervised manner.
The post holder will be an experienced medical practitioner who will provide care to patients with a range of drug and alcohol use and dependency. He/she will have a special interest in the psychological, physical and social problems of this group.
They will have the skills and knowledge to develop effective communications and working links with the Primary Care Team and Mental Health Services, as well as a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies.
