Job summary

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust in Wesham is seeking a Specialty Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry to join the Rehabilitation Service on a fixed-term basis for two years. The post is full time (10 PAs) and based at the Wesham Rehabilitation Unit.

The post holder will provide psychiatric and physical health reviews, work with inpatient and community teams, and participate in weekly MDT meetings within a multidisciplinary team. GMC registration and Section 12 approval are required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in psychiatry.
• Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice.
• Section 12 approved at the start of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical input to patients including psychiatric and physical health reviews.
• There are inpatient and community arms to the rehab service; support both settings.
• Work within the multidisciplinary team and attend weekly MDT reviews.
