Job summary

A prominent mental health care provider in Prestwich is seeking a speciality doctor to join the Chapman Barker Unit Team.   • Undertake assessments of referrals/admissions to the service.
  • Diagnose and formulate management plans of referrals/admissions to the service.
  • Provide management in complex physical health presentations.
  • Attend daily board rounds with the MDT for patients on the planned admission wards and the RADAR ward.
  • Assessment and management of risk including vulnerability, suicide risk, risks to health and safety and risk of harm to others.
  • Work in a collaborative way with multidisciplinary teams including external partners.
  • Work in partnership with professionals from partner providers.
Job description

The Trust is seeking a speciality doctor to join the Chapman Barker Unit Team. The Trust regards this as an opportunity to further develop the functioning of the team and offers an opportunity for the post-holder to develop their skills and expertise in the management of physical health‑related disorders commonly found in specialist inpatient detoxification units.

  • Diagnose and formulate management plans of referrals/admissions to the service.
  • Provide management in complex physical health presentations.
  • Attend daily board rounds with the MDT for patients on the planned admission wards and the RADAR ward.

  • Work in a collaborative way with multidisciplinary teams including external partners.
