We are looking to recruit a Specialty Doctor to join our comprehensive Care of Elderly service at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. The post will enable the successful applicant to gain valuable experience in a number of clinical areas including:

  • Ward support and referral
  • Ortho-geriatric ward reviews

The Care of the Elderly Department has an outstanding record in supporting and training specialty doctors, We are committed to supporting our middle grade doctors in reaching their desired career goals by developing their clinical, medical, educational and managerial skills.

Main duties of the job

Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust seeks to appoint a specialty doctor in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric to work within our Adult Medicine department. The post holder will be based at Tameside General Hospital. The post is based within the Care of the Elderly Department and the main activity undertaken will include outpatient clinics, diagnostic tests and ward rounds and on calls for general internal medicine.
