RatedOutstanding by the Care Quality Commission, Prospect Hospice is the leadingprovider of specialist end-of-life care across Swindon, northeast Wiltshire,and parts of Gloucestershire. Our purpose-built hospice in Wroughton, justoutside Swindon, provides inpatient, outpatient, and community-based servicesto over 300,000 people.
Hours:
1clinical day per week (mostly community)
+non-resident on-call for our in-patient unit (IPU) and community (1 OOH evening& night /week)
+ 1 in 4 weekends based on IPU
What isthe role?
You willprovide expert palliative medical care to patients on our 6-bed Inpatient Unit(IPU), working closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team includingspecialist nurses, therapists, family support workers, and psychotherapists.
Your role will include:
The medical team consists of a Hospice Consultant, Specialty Doctors, GP trainees and an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Remote support is also provided by Supportive Care UK.

Prospect Hospice is an independent hospice supporting a community of300,000 people in Swindon, Marlborough and North Wiltshire, and the villages ofLechlade and Fairford in Gloucestershire.
It is the only dedicated provider ofspecialist end of life care services within it's locality. The Hospicesmulti-professionals teams support people in the community, in care homes, atthe Great Western Hospital and at the Hospice in Wroughton. Care is alsoextended to the families and friends of patients.
Additional Information
You must live within 45 minutes of Prospect Hospice when on-call.
