Hospice Specialty Doctor – Fixed term for 6 months

February 2026 - August 2026

Minimum 2 years post qualification experience

Salary: As per BMA pay scale

Hours: 40 per week with 1 in 5 non-resident on call

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a doctor to gain experience in Palliative Medicine at St Gemmas Hospice Leeds.

We are looking for a fixed term Hospice Specialty Doctor of FY3 level or above to support the medical team on the In‑Patient Unit providing palliative care to patients.

The prime purpose of this role is to provide holistic patient‑focused care and to work as an integrated member of the multi‑disciplinary team. You will be supported in your decision making by the Palliative Care Consultants, Specialty training registrar doctors and multi‑disciplinary team.

You will be part of a supportive and dynamic medical team which consists of 4 Consultants in Palliative Medicine alongside trainees in Palliative medicine, Internal Medicine, General Practice and Foundation Year 2.
