Job summary

Dovetail and Slate Limited, Berkshire-based specialist education provider, seeks an experienced Specialist Tutor for Inclusion to deliver tailored teaching and learning support to students needing additional help. You will adapt delivery to individual needs and help remove barriers to achievement, ensuring each learner has guidance to progress.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, developing resources, collaborating with staff, and monitoring progress with timely feedback and interventions

Specialist Tutor for Inclusion

Are you an experienced practitioner in inclusive education, ready to help learners with additional needs achieve their full potential?

About the role

As Specialist Tutor for Inclusion, you'll provide tailored teaching and learning support to students who need additional help to access and succeed in their studies. Working with an established education provider, you'll adapt your delivery to individual needs and help remove the barriers that can stand in the way of achievement.

This is a role for someone who combines subject or study-skills expertise with genuine patience and care. You'll work closely with students, teaching teams and support staff to make sure every learner has the guidance they need to progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering specialist one-to-one and small-group tuition to students with additional learning needs.
• Assessing individual learning needs and planning support that helps students access the curriculum.
• Developing and adapting resources and strategies to suit a range of learning styles and requirements.

What we're looking for

Essential

• Experience of supporting learners with additional needs or specific learning difficulties

• A genuine commitment to inclusive education and learner success

Desirable (but not essential)

• A relevant teaching, tutoring or specialist support qualification
• Experience of working in a further education or college setting
• Knowledge of assistive technologies and inclusive learning strategies
