A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Specialist Technical Instructor for their Communication Aid Service in Leeds. The role involves supporting adults and children with communication difficulties using Alternative and Augmentative Communication systems. Applicants should possess excellent communication and technical skills, especially with Apple devices. The position is focused on improving the quality of care for individuals requiring assistance in communication, with a strong emphasis on empathy and the ability to stay updated with technological changes.
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join our small communication aid team which is part of the Children's Speech and Language Therapy Service. Your role will be as a Specialist technical instructor based at Chapeltown Health Centre. You will have a passion for supporting adults and children/young people with communication difficulties who require the use of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) to communicate with others. In addition to excellent communication skills and an understanding of severe and complex communication needs, you will be highly technical and have a sound understanding of apple devices and other communication aids. The interview will be held at Chapeltown Health centre on Wednesday the 4th of February 2026.
