Job summary

SENse Learning seeks Specialist Teachers to deliver one-to-one tutoring across SEND and SEMH needs, in-home, online, or hybrid settings. You’ll coach learners with MLD, SLD, PMLD, and related needs, tailoring lessons to individual plans and safety considerations.

A child-centered, trauma-informed approach is essential. Role is self-employed with flexible scheduling; interviews are arranged on rolling basis.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience with SEND/SEN.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
  • Child-centred, holistic approach with trauma-informed practices.
  • Enhanced DBS check and 2+ professional references.
  • UK-based with right to work in the UK; safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with children and young people with diverse needs.
  • Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring.
  • Plan and report lessons with regular feedback on student progress.
  • Support KS1–KS5 as appropriate for your skills; tailor tutoring to EHCPs and risk assessments.
  • Maintain a safe learning environment and uphold safeguarding policies.
