Job summary

A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to provide assessment and intervention for patients with communication difficulties. Responsibilities
  • Assessment and intervention for patients with eating, drinking, swallowing and communication difficulties arising from mental health disorders and co-occurring conditions including physical health, progressive neuro and neurodevelopmental.
  • Consultation and liaison with MDT colleagues, carers and external professionals to promote best patient care.
  • Provision of training on SLT specific topics.
  • Independent management and prioritisation of own caseload.
Qualifications

Experience of working within mental health would be beneficial. However, the role would also suit SLTs who have experience with older adult, acute or neurodevelopmental caseloads as you will be supported to develop your skills in this specialist clinical area.

Working across our hospital sites in Derbyshire is essential to the role, so appointable candidates must be able to travel independently.
