Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band Speech and Language Therapist to work in the community CPFT Speech and Language Therapy Team. The post holder will work in the Peterborough area alongside colleagues, providing input to patients with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties.

The successful applicant will join a friendly, innovative team of therapists and clinical assistants. The team meet regularly for meetings and the post holder will receive regular line management and clinical supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines; require a full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
  • Work independently, providing speech and language therapy input to patients on an outpatient and domiciliary basis and to community hospital wards.
  • Provide care to patients with communication impairment, dysphagia and potentially voice work; deliver LSVT to suitable patients.
  • Participate in redesigning the pathway for patients with Parkinson's disease.
Qualifications & training

This post would suit a current Band therapist who is dysphagia trained. The candidate will be supported to develop into a band role, including training in line management, supervision, LSVT and voice therapy.
