A prominent healthcare provider in Northallerton is seeking a part-time Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join their supportive team. This role involves working with community patients experiencing communication and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience and hold HCPC registration. The position offers competitive salary between £38,682 and £46,580, with flexible and remote working options available.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with well established experience working with a community caseload of patients (including neurology, ENT and voice) to join our friendly and supportive Adult Speech and Language Therapy team. This role is based in the Northallerton Community SLT Team (based at Friarage Hospital) and will involve domiciliary and care home visits, as well as outpatient clinics and telehealth.
The Northallerton Adult SLT Community Team work in collaboration with the Harrogate District Hospital Adult SLT Team. We pride ourselves on being an innovative and encouraging team with a strong commitment to Continuing Professional Development and service development at every level. Supported by a team of Band 8, Band 7, Band 6's, Band 5's, SLT Assistants and the wider MDT, the post holder will have the opportunity to demonstrate specialist knowledge and skills. You will also gain exposure and access to our instrumental assessment services, including Videofluoroscopy and FEES.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive clinical service for community patients with communications and swallowing disorders within the Hambleton and District area.
The successful candidate will have knowledge, skills and experience of working with both dysphagia, communication and voice patients across a variety of settings.
To work as part of inpatient and community multidisciplinary teams to maximize the rehabilitation potential of patients. To deliver education and training to patients, carers and other healthcare professionals.
