Job summary

Randstad Education in Edenbridge is seeking a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant for a term-time, permanent role. You will work 1:1 with learners aged 5-16 who have complex needs, autism (ASD), and related behavioural or communication difficulties, in a modern school with small class sizes.

The role offers a salary of £21.8k–£24k, funded training from day one, and on-site facilities. You will support social, emotional and physical development, collaborate with teachers, and help students build

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, or Childcare Professional (references required).
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for SEN learners with complex needs.
• Assist in managing behavioural, social, and emotional development in a classroom of up to 8 students.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapy teams to create a safe, enabling learning environment.
• Utilise school resources to enhance student engagement.
