The Opportunity

  • Location: Sefton
  • Schedule: Full-time, Extended Contract

The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in:

  • Delivering, preparing, and executing compelling, adaptable lessons.
  • Conducting both formal and ongoing student evaluations and interpreting data.
  • Modifying educational resources to guarantee accessibility for all students.
  • Liaising effectively with teaching assistants, families, and outside specialists.
  • Fostering a constructive, welcoming, and equitable classroom atmosphere.

Prerequisites

To be considered an ideal candidate, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Mandatory: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience: Demonstrated success teaching students with various Special Educational Needs within a UK school environment.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive grasp of SEN regulations, effective intervention methods, and sophisticated differentiation practices.
  • Personal Attributes: Excellent classroom leadership, paired with essential qualities such as perseverance, flexibility, patience, and initiative.
  • Compliance: A current, satisfactory Enhanced DBS check is required, or the immediate willingness to secure one upon accepting the post.

An Added Advantage: Candidates holding a specific SEN qualification or considerable background supporting students with complex learning difficulties are particularly encouraged to apply.
