Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Specialist Safeguarding practitioner to join our Integrated Safeguarding Team. You will influence safeguarding practice across community, acute Trust, mental health and learning disability services, ensuring children, young people and families receive the right support at the right time.

Qualifications

Current professional registration – e.g. NMC or HCPC.
Substantial safeguarding children experience with ongoing professional development.
Knowledge of children safeguarding policies, context and legislation.
Ability to work with multi-agency partners to improve outcomes.
Teaching and assessing colleagues in safeguarding.

Responsibilities

Plan and provide supervision, support, training and advice on safeguarding children for CPFT.
Work countywide under the direction of the Named Nurse for safeguarding children.
Develop partnership working with statutory and voluntary organisations to aid communication and provide better outcomes for children and families.
Ensure robust communication takes place minimising risks to the children, families and the organisation.
Undertake audits to monitor safeguarding decision making quality.
