Job summary

Spire Healthcare in Wirral is seeking a Specialist Radiographer for the MRI Department on a part-time basis (30 hours). The role involves performing routine and complex MRI exams, ensuring MRI safety, and supporting cross-departmental imaging services in hospital settings across theatres and wards.

The candidate will hold HCPC registration with a radiography degree, have strong communication and IT skills, and a minimum of 2 years MRI experience (cardiac MRI desirable).

Qualifications

• Hold a Diploma or Degree in Radiography and be registered with the HCPC.
• Strong communication skills and a good standard of IT.
• Minimum of 2 years MRI experience; cardiac MRI desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex MRI examinations across body regions (Musculoskeletal, enterography, multiparametric prostate imaging).
• Ensure MRI safety and compliance within and outside the department.
• Carry out a comprehensive range of radiographic procedures including Fluoroscopy, in theatre or wards.
• Be a key team member, supporting effective communication and data collection.
• Participate in rostered departmental on call from home.

Main duties of the job

To perform routine and complex MRI examinations including, Musculoskeletal, enterography and multiparametric prostate imaging.To ensure MRI SafetyTo perform a comprehensive range of radiographic procedures, including Fluoroscopy without supervision, both within the department and externally e.g. theatre, wards etc.Be a key member of the team supporting effective communication, and to develop and implement project data collection systems to provide accurate and timely data.Participate in rostered departmental on call for x-ray, performed from homeCommunicate appropriately with others involved in the care of the patientEnsure that Spire radiology procedures are implemented and maintained
