Job description

Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children and families? We are looking for dynamic Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (HV). This is a 22.5 hour post in Wyre Forest, based in Kidderminster. We are looking for keen and enthusiastic SCPHNs to join our teams. You will lead a skill mix team to deliver the Healthy Child Programme, driving forward the public health agenda through collaborative and innovative working. You will be joining friendly and supportive 0-19 Public Health Nursing teams.

You will be using your specialist qualification to manage busy caseloads and support your skill mix teams. The teams cover both rural and urban areas and being able to meet the travel requirements of the role is essential. As an SCPHN (HV) you will lead the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and travel across Worcestershire to visit families at home, in clinic and at locations to meet their needs. You will work collaboratively to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based interventions and champion public health priorities, promoting health equity and early intervention through High Impact Area groups and MECSH. By monitoring outcomes with evidence‑based tools you will strive to improve service delivery through innovative practice. Multi‑agency working is key to this role, and you will need to be confident working with other professionals to empower the most vulnerable families to make positive change. You will be confident in decision‑making and report writing.
