A leading UK healthcare provider is seeking a motivated podiatrist to join its multidisciplinary diabetic foot team. This role involves treating acute diabetic foot complications within inpatient and outpatient settings, offering opportunities to engage in significant clinical research. Candidates should have a relevant degree and experience in diabetes management. The position offers flexible working hours and a broad range of NHS benefits.
We would like to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic podiatrist to join our multidisciplinary diabetic foot team based at the Norfolk & Norwich University NHS Foundation Trust. There is the possibility of there being more hours available on fixed term basis and this can be discussed at interview.
This is a really exciting opportunity to join a well-established multidisciplinary diabetic foot team which is one of the largest in the East of England and we see over 700 new patients and 6500 follow-ups per year, all of whom have complex foot disease.
You will join a team of seven podiatrists. We can offer real variety in different sub‑specialty working alongside consultants’ colleagues in diabetes, microbiology, renal, vascular, plastics, and orthopaedic surgery in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
However, being based in one of the UK’s leading research hospital the role of a podiatrist can become so much more. We are actively involved in several large multicentre research projects and publish widely on many aspects of diabetic foot disease. This would give the successful applicant the opportunity to participate in the ongoing research and contribute to the department’s ongoing research strategy.
The Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital is a teaching Hospital; therefore, you will be actively involved in the delivery of departmental education material.
