Job summary

St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a physiotherapist to work autonomously within clinical teams, delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient group. You will manage a caseload on designated wards and support junior staff in caseload management.

The role emphasizes comprehensive assessment, advanced clinical reasoning, and the development of patient-centred, goal-driven treatment plans with thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Autonomously work within departmental clinical teams to provide physiotherapy care to a diverse client group.
• Manage a caseload independently on designated ward/s, supporting junior staff with their caseload management.
• Undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex presentation/multiple pathologies; use advanced clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition.
• Formulate and deliver a complete specialised physiotherapy programme based on sound knowledge of evidence-based practise and treatment options.
