A regional healthcare provider is seeking a part-time Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Acute Mental Health therapies team in Radlett. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive and friendly multidisciplinary team while providing comprehensive Physiotherapy assessments and interventions for adult mental health services. Specialist Physiotherapist - Acute Mental Health

A rare opportunity has arisen for a part time, experienced Physiotherapist to join the Acute Mental Health therapies team based in Hertfordshire . The post holder will join an existing Physiotherapist as part of the Allied Health Professional team working across Adult Acute inpatient mental health services.

The role is within the friendly and supportive team in the Acute Inpatient & Crisis Service, based at Kingfisher Court in Radlett.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will:

  • work as an influential and integral member of a diverse multi-disciplinary team
  • be able to demonstrate an interest and specialist knowledge in working with mental health service users
  • have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • provide comprehensive Physiotherapy assessment and intervention for specified service user group
  • carry a caseload as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and provide clinical leadership

Job responsibilities

The post holder will have the opportunity to continue to develop the Mental Health Physiotherapy input across the adult inpatient services, promoting the role and ensuring Physiotherapy is a highly regarded part of the AHP provision. The role offers the opportunity to develop specialist professional skills alongside leadership, service evaluation and development, whilst having the support of the Professional Lead Physio in Specialist and LD services and from the Head of AHPs in Acute and Crisis.
