A leading health service provider in Coventry seeks a Specialist Physiotherapist to provide outstanding care for patients with life limiting conditions. The role requires delivering therapy in various settings including inpatient units and community, utilizing comprehensive assessments and personalized treatment plans. The ideal candidate is a qualified Physiotherapist registered with HCPC and has experience with complex and palliative care. This position offers a salary ranging from £37,426 to £38,752 per year depending on experience.
At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. We are a much-loved and well supported charity, at the heart of our community. We have three hospices, a range of community services, and 26 charity shops in Coventry and Warwickshire.
The Specialist Physiotherapist will work with people with a range of life limiting conditions which may include: Cancer, cardiac or respiratory conditions or long-term neurological conditions. They will work within the Inpatient Unit and also deliver both individual and group sessions within a range of Wellbeing programmes such as the Fatigue and Breathlessness Programme and Exercise group to people attending the Myton Hospices.
As aSpecialist Physiotherapist, atypical day might include: Working as an autonomous therapist with responsibility for the effective delivery ofspecialist physiotherapy services; organisingand delivery of group exercises; ordering/monitoring equipment forpatients and carrying out safety checks on Myton's equipment; attending/contributing to IPUhandover and MDT meetings; contributing to care planning and raise awareness of the physiotherapy role.

Primary Work Base:Coventry (with travel to all sites and home visits as required).
NB as we are a multi-site organisation, some flexibility relating to place of work will be required. We reserve the right to change the work baseof our employees to meet our business needs.

Policies and Procedures:The post holder is required to have a good understanding of, and to comply with, all relevant Myton policies, procedures and guidelines. Any contravention of Myton policies or procedures may result in disciplinary action.

Confidentiality and Data protection:It is a requirement of employment with Myton that all staff must comply with the obligation of confidentiality relating to personal information that could identify individuals. The Data Protection Act 1974/1998 safeguards the handling of information held in both electronic and manual filing systems and it is the duty of all staff employed by Myton to uphold the principles of the Act, adhere to Myton policies and to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Infection Control:All employees of Myton must be aware of infection prevention and control policies and are expected to follow them at all times. Any breach of infection control policies which places patients, visitors or colleagues at risk may result in disciplinary action.
