Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a fixed-term Pharmacist to lead the Pharmacy Residency Service within the Chelsea Hospital site. The role combines operational support with education and training for resident and trainee pharmacists rotating through the dispensary.

You will supervise staff, contribute to clinical pharmacy care, and support safe dispensing. Registration with GPhC and a vocational Master’s in Pharmacy are required.

• GPhC registration required.
• Vocational Master’s in Pharmacy completed or equivalent training/experience.
• Pre-registration training completed or in process.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, coordinate and manage the Pharmacy Residency Service.
• Be responsible for clinical pharmacy service to a sub-speciality within Emergency & Integrated Care.
• Contribute to clinical pharmacy services in the Medicine Directorate.
• Support dispensary services with safe, legal, and efficient prescriptions processing.
• Lead and coordinate clinical training and supervision of residents and trainees rotating in the dispensary.

This fixed-term post of nine months sits within the pharmacy department at the Chelsea Hospital site of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, combining operational support with education and training. The postholder leads the pharmacy residency service, contributes to clinical pharmacy care in the Medicine Directorate and supports dispensary services. What sets it apart is supervising resident and trainee pharmacists rotating through the dispensary. Applicants need GPhC registration and a vocational master's in pharmacy.

What the job involves

• Lead, co-ordinate and manage the development and provision of the Pharmacy Residency Service
• Be responsible and accountable for the clinical pharmacy service to a sub-speciality within the Emergency and Integrated Care Division
• Contribute to clinical pharmacy services in the Medicine Directorate, ensuring safe, effective, legal and accurate use of medicines
• Support a high quality, safe and legal dispensary service, with efficient processing of prescriptions and inpatient medicine requests
• Lead and co-ordinate clinical training and supervision of resident and trainee pharmacists on rotation in the dispensary, in line with local and professional requirements

What’s required

Qualifications

• Vocational Master's degree in Pharmacy, with completion of pre-registration training
• Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or JBP Postgraduate Certificate in General Pharmacy Practice, or equivalent training or experience

Registration & licences

• Registered practising pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
