Job summary

Pulse is seeking an experienced Specialist Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist to join the Children’s Community Therapy Service based at Green Wrythe Lane, Epsom. This locum role suits clinicians with paediatric experience in dysphagia, complex communication needs, and AAC.

You will work within a supportive MDT, delivering high-quality assessment and intervention across community clinics, homes, and educational settings, with opportunities to supervise juniors and contribute to service

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Speech & Language Therapist required.
• Strong paediatric clinical experience essential.
• Experience with dysphagia, complex needs and AAC preferred.
• Ability to work independently within a community setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment and intervention for paediatric clients.
• Manage a varied paediatric caseload across community settings.
• Collaborate with families, schools and MDT colleagues.
• Contribute to service development and pathway improvement.
• Provide supervision and support to junior SLTs and assistants.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Job Overview

You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high‑quality assessment and intervention for children with a wide range of developmental and complex needs across community clinics, homes, and educational settings.
