Job description
Specialist Paediatric Dietitian – Croydon University Hospital

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Dietetics service at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. The Dietetics team provides acute, community, paediatric and long‑duration services. We are a forward‑thinking team of 14 dietitians and 2 dietetic assistants, committed to high‑quality, effective care. This post offers an integral part of a small team of paediatric dietitians.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a high‑quality specialist dietetic service to paediatric inpatients and for out‑patients referred by GP, consultant or agreed Health Professionals.
  • Undertake research, audit and service development.
  • Provide education and training to nurses, GPs, student nurses, dietetic students and other healthcare professionals.
  • Be proactive and recognise the need for service development.
  • Liaise, support and inform the multidisciplinary team on the ward, GP, health visitors, school nurses, special interest groups, home enteral feeding services and Allied Health Professionals.
Band & Development

As a band 6 Dietitian you will undertake audits, contribute to service improvement and develop nutrition and dietetic policies for paediatrics. CPD and supervision are provided to support staff development.
