Specialist / Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (HCPC Registered)

£37,372 - £49,968 full-time salary dependent on experience*

Full-time (42 hours per week) / Part-time considered

Team

You will be joining our experienced, well-supported and dedicated Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) team, based on-site at Treloar’s. Our team has a strong values-based approach and an excellent reputation throughout the organisation and beyond.

In SLT, we work closely with educational, clinical and residential care colleagues across the School and College campus to meet the complex needs of our students. Our well-established MDT (multi-disciplinary team) model offers the opportunity for immense job satisfaction, working in an inspiring and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will take on responsibility for a caseload of children/young people with a range of complex physical, communication and eating and drinking needs.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist and supporting children and young people with physical / neurological disabilities and associated complex communication and learning needs.
  • A strong commitment to MDT working and a flexible approach.
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and negotiation skills.
  • Ideally, a post-graduate dysphagia qualification and/or experience of working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems.

Treloar’s offers a wide range of training and continuing professional development. Within the SLT team, we prioritise regular supervision, team meetings and events. There are also opportunities to apply your own areas of specialist knowledge and expertise to support the needs of the students, the SLT department and the wider organisation.
