A rare opportunity has arisen to join our friendly, enthusiastic, and motivated Dietetic team. We have a strong ethos of support, leadership, and collaboration. We are committed to supporting ongoing personal and professional development of our staff and you would be provided with regular CPD opportunities. The Department is dedicated to student training and staff preceptorship therefore you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in these.

This exciting opportunity is ideally suited to a suitably experienced Band 5 dietitian looking for a specialist Band 6 role, or a Band 6 looking to gain further experience and skills in this area, supported by the Band 7 Oncology Dietitians.

We are a department that supports flexible working and welcomes your application. Working at Basildon Hospital will entitle you to the additional 5% HCAS fringe benefit.

Main duties of the job

This post will enable you to further develop your skills in nutrition support in Oncology, and Head and Neck cancers.

We are a large proactive team of dietitians that strives for continual improvement in the services we provide. There will be the opportunity for you to get involved with projects, audits and service developments. We provide dietetic student placements and there will be a chance for you to participate in student learning and development. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support preceptorship of newly qualified Band 5 dietitians.
