Job description

Overview

This role forms part of the Occupational Therapy team and provides Specialist Therapy Technician sessions to patients on a neurorehabilitation ward with 16 level 1 and 10 level 2 patients. Patients present with a range of psycho‑social, physical, cognitive and emotional problems including terminal illness.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the wider Interdisciplinary team and collaborate with qualified Occupational Therapists to deliver direct patient intervention, both one‑to‑one and group sessions, including physical, sensory, cognitive and perceptual rehabilitation.

• Assist with administrative tasks such as maintenance of equipment loans systems, information gathering and promotion of best quality patient care.

• Contribute to the intensity of rehabilitation provided over seven days and work rostered weekends within neurosciences/neurorehabilitation.
