Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our excellent Band 6 rotation. You will have the opportunity to rotate through: Major Trauma, Neurosurgery, Neuro Rehabilitation, Orthopaedics, Stroke, Emergency Assessment Unit, Aging Complex Medicine & Community Stroke & Neuro Rehabilitation. We are delighted to have a new addition of Critical Care to our rotation specialties.

Responsibilities
  • You will work closely with MDT colleagues to enable the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • You will be well supported by the experienced band 7 OT & Physio's in the teams to provide OT assessment & intervention, along side supervising junior members of the team.
  • You will work closely with community colleagues to ensure a smooth transition from hospital.
  • You will work as a band 6 OT who rotates across a wide range of specialties to provide you with a wide range of learning opportunities. You will assess & treat patients to enable them to be discharged from hospital to their own homes or to an appropriate rehabilitation setting.
  • You are required to work at pace, have a sound understanding of the complex medical, physical, cognitive & psychosocial needs of this patients.
  • You will provide supervision, support & training to junior members of the team & will also receive this from our highly experienced band 7 OT's.
