A leading healthcare organization in the UK is seeking a highly motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their Older Peoples Services Team. In this role, you will provide essential clinical care, manage patient assessments, and mentor junior staff. A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration are essential, along with significant experience in related services. This is a full-time permanent position with potential participation in extended hours working.

Qualifications

Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Older Peoples Services Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Older Peoples Services Team and further develop your clinical skills with complex patients, experience of close MDT working and discharge planning, and involvement in service improvement. The post holder will provide expert direct clinical care, which encompasses Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment and management of patients as part of the in‑patient service. You will clinically be responsible for rotational Occupational Therapists, support workers and students on clinical placement. You will be actively encouraged to develop through your 4 pillars of practice while participating in CPD, audit and research.

It is essential that you are educated to Diploma/Degree level in occupational therapy while being registered with HCPC. You should have significant post graduate experience with previous clinical experience in Older Peoples Services, or relevant specialty.

This is a full time, permanent post and may require the post holder to participate in seven day working/ extended hours working.
