Job summary

NHS Tayside is looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the children and young people’s service based at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. The 36 hours per week post provides specialist OT within the Acute Team and works flexibly across NHS Tayside.

You will deliver a three-tiered model of care across in-patient, out-patient, schools and community settings, using strong communication and leadership to develop the service for children and young people in Tayside.

Qualifications

• Honours Degree / Diploma in Occupational Therapy with relevant post-graduate training.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Leadership skills and experience in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist OT support within the Ninewells Hospital Acute Team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the child health Occupational Therapy Service for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist 36 hours per week / 1wte.

The post holder will work as a specialist Occupational Therapist based in Ninewells Hospital Acute Team.

The Occupational Therapy Service provides a three-tiered model of service delivery to support children and young people’s occupational performance. You will be based in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee and will be required to work flexibly across NHS Tayside within Ninewells in-patient, outpatient settings, schools and community settings.

We are looking for an individual who has good communication skills, leadership skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. Applicants should have an Honours Degree / Diploma in Occupational Therapy and relevant post graduate training / experience.

The post will offer the post holder the opportunity to work in an innovative service and play an instrumental role in continuing to develop the service to meet the needs of the children and young people in Tayside.
