Job summary

Gingham Specialist Services in Slough, Buckinghamshire, is recruiting two to three compassionate Specialist Nannies to support a four-year-old boy with cerebral palsy in a family home with 2:1 support. The role requires warm, child-centered care and collaboration with a dedicated team including a support worker.

Shifts run from 7:00am to 9:00pm, Monday to Sunday, with duties including play, learning, and following care plans.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check or suitable childcare experience required.
• Excellent references required.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, holistic support tailored to developmental, emotional and practical needs.
• Collaborate with the support worker, family and wider professional team.
• Support meaningful play, learning, communication and age-appropriate activities.
• Follow established routines and care plans.
• Help the child participate safely and confidently in family and community life.
• Complete light housekeeping during school hours, including meal preparation and errands.
• Maintain clear records and communicate effectively with the family and professional team.
