Overview

A Vacancy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a nurse of any discipline to join our Partnership team with a focus on assessment, diagnosis and management of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a range of high-quality assessments and interventions appropriate to the child or young person’s needs, including neuro-developmental assessment, computer-based assessment, mental state assessment, risk assessment and management, family and social assessment, consultation, formulation and evidence-based interventions.
  • Deliver clinical aspects of the role in a multi-disciplinary team setting and serve as an autonomous practitioner within professional practice guidelines, including being a Non-Medical Prescriber or willing to become one.
  • Offer assessment for complex mental health needs and levels of risk, including safeguarding and self-harm.
  • Provide prescribing clinics (initiation and titration dependent upon qualifications and experience) alongside colleagues in the MDT.
  • Manage own caseload, providing high-quality care including mental state assessment, risk assessment and management, family and social assessment, consultation and interventions.
  • Be confident and experienced in communication, liaison between CAMHS and other services, and work flexibly in accordance with the needs of the young people.
  • Offer consultation for schools and partner agencies.
  • Provide advice via an allocated duty slot within the service.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Nursing discipline (any).
  • Non-Medical Prescriber or willingness to complete training to become one.
  • Experience in mental health assessment, risk assessment, and prescribing (if applicable).
  • Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with external agencies.
