Specialist Medical Advisor

We are NHS Supply Chain, a part of the NHS family, providing the NHS with goods, services and food to support over 1,000 suppliers and nearly 17,000 locations across England and Wales.

We are looking for a Specialist Medical Advisor to join our clinical leadership team during a pivotal transformation period. The role will support NHS Supply Chain in putting patients first and delivering our strategic objectives.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide visible leadership within the directorate and across the business, bringing the medical voice into the NHS SC clinical community and collaborating with healthcare professional leaders to realise the clinical and quality of care strategy.
  • Work closely with the clinical executive director and director of clinical operations and development to reinforce the clinical and quality voice.
  • Build on existing relationships with professional bodies, Royal Colleges, and regulatory and standards organisations such as GiRFT; develop partnerships across the healthcare system; support clinicians to engage with NHS Supply Chain priorities.
Job responsibilities

Joining a newly created role within the corporate clinical team, you will:

  • Provide visible leadership within the directorate and across the business, bringing the medical voice into the NHS SC clinical community and collaborating with healthcare professional leaders.
  • Work closely with the clinical executive director and director of clinical operations and development to complement the clinical and quality voice and profile.
