We are a diverse and flexible team of focused colleagues covering Vestas' NCE region (Northern Europe, Central Europe). We collaborate with our construction and service businesses to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and with the right quality by improving supplier selection for the assets used in our offshore operations logistics. As part of the team, you will be an important part of Vestas' engagement with the suppliers of mainly (C)SOVs and CTVs, but could also work with wind turbine installation vessels and service jack-up vessels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate negotiations for offshore wind projects in the NCE region, primarily for SOVs and CTVs, but potentially also for installation vessels and service jack-up vessels
  • In collaboration with the regional stakeholders (such as operations and legal), develop the go-to-market strategy, drafting of RFI/RFQ documents and be a key player in the evaluation and selection process
  • Be involved with developing and executing the procurement strategy for offshore operations logistics assets in line with the overall Vestas strategy and the specific sub-strategies for each asset category
  • Maintain fruitful relationships with a diverse set of internal stakeholders: Sales teams in construction and service, marine subject matter experts, legal, other regional and global peers etc
  • Continuously be in contact with vessel companies and other relevant suppliers in the global offshore wind marine industry and actively work on improving supplier quality level
  • Actively participate in developing Vestas' corporate vessel contract templates and policies, give input to the relevant process and governance structure and identify and support implementation of opportunities to improve our safety and quality performance
  • Manage contracting process to ensure that Vestas interests are adequately represented


Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with negotiating marine contracts, such as Bimco Supplytime and ASVTIME charter parties in the wind and/or oil & gas industry
  • Familiarity with the FIDIC and/or LOGIC contractual framework is preferred
  • A commercial and/or contractual background, preferably combined with a high level of operational knowledge of the offshore industry
  • Experience from working with large scale offshore projects
  • Experience from working in or with large, global organisations
  • Great interpersonal and stakeholder management skills especially working with senior management • Advance negotiation skills
  • Positive and solution-oriented problem solver, able to work in a cross-cultural environment
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a dynamic environment
  • Fluent English is essential, knowledge of German or one of the Scandinavian language will be a plus
